How to Share Wix Domain Access
Use this guide when Wix manages the domain we need to work on. Domain access is a separate permission from general website editing.
Before you start
Open the Wix site associated with the domain. Use the invitation email in your onboarding checklist. For domain management, our starting role is Domain Manager, which can connect and manage domains without purchase permissions.
Add domain permissions
- Open the site’s dashboard and go to Settings, then Roles & Permissions.
- If we are not listed, choose Invite Collaborators and enter our invitation email.
- Select Domain Manager and any other role specifically listed in your checklist.
- Send the invitation. If our account is already a collaborator, open its role settings, add the requested role and save the change.
If you cannot find the domain
A domain connected to a Wix website may be registered or managed elsewhere. Share the account that actually controls the settings we need. The hosting and domain overview can help you identify it.
If Domain Manager is unavailable
Tell us which roles you see and whether the domain is attached to the site you opened. We will confirm the right access route for that account.
Let us know when you are finished
After you send the invitation or add our account, tell us which account you shared. We will check the permissions and confirm that access is working.
