How to Give Us Access to Your Wix Website
Add our team as a Wix collaborator so we can work on the website using our own account.
Before you start
Open the correct site and confirm you can invite collaborators. Use the invitation email in your onboarding checklist. Website Manager is our starting role for general site management; Website Designer may suit design-only work. Follow the role listed in your checklist.
Invite a collaborator
- Open the site’s dashboard and go to Settings, then Roles & Permissions.
- Choose Invite Collaborators.
- Enter the invitation email supplied in your checklist.
- Select the role requested for your project and review its permissions.
- Choose Send Invites. Check the collaborator list for the pending invitation.
Which role should you choose?
Website Manager covers editing, publishing and site management without billing management. Website Designer focuses on the site, settings and apps. Admin (Co-Owner) includes broader permissions, including billing, so use it only when we specifically request it.
If Wix will not send another invitation
Check whether your site has an available collaborator seat. If it does not, let us know before changing your plan or removing someone who still needs access.
Let us know when you are finished
After you send the invitation or add our account, tell us which account you shared. We will check the permissions and confirm that access is working.
