How to Share Squarespace Domain Access
Use this guide when your domain is managed through Squarespace, including registrations that moved from Google Domains.
Before you start
Sign in to the account that manages the domain. Use the invitation email in your onboarding checklist. Check whether the domain has separate permissions or shares them with a Squarespace website.
For a domain with separate permissions
- Open the Squarespace domains dashboard and select the domain.
- Open Permissions and choose Invite domain manager.
- Enter Des Moines Creative and our invitation email.
- Send the invitation. We will accept it through our own Squarespace account.
For a domain that shares website permissions
Follow the Squarespace website contributor guide. A domain that shares billing and contributor settings with a website uses that website’s permissions. We will check that the requested domain settings are available after accepting the invitation.
If your domain used to be with Google
Former Google Domains registrations are managed through Squarespace. Use the account associated with that domain to locate it in the Squarespace domains dashboard.
If you cannot find the domain
Check the email address used for domain renewal notices. If the domain is under another account or a previous provider’s control, send us the details so we can help identify the next step.
Let us know when you are finished
After you send the invitation or add our account, tell us which account you shared. We will check the permissions and confirm that access is working.
